Project Title: Stylized Shop Front

 

Overview:  This is a low poly enviroment (<15000 tris) modelled by myeslf between zbrush and 3ds max, it was then hand painted in photoshop. Its split between 4x 1024 texture sheets for both diffuse and normals.

Conclusion:

 

In conclusion I feel my project has been a success.  I did however not complete what i had set myself as a target for the project. Initialyl  I had challenged myself to add some small matinai sequences in engine to add abit more movement and live to the enviroment. An example of this would be the burgers to slight float, the camera to rotate, the lights to flash. I ismply didnt get enough time to implement these things. Another target that i didnt achieve was to create PBR maps for all the materials, but again unfortunatley i didnt achieve this in time.

 

I think ive been fortunate in that because im doing styalised enviroment as the model still seems to look okay without these maps, ive include material definitiona and light detail in the albedo so the model almosts stands on itso wn with just the diffuse. I think i may come back to this project at some point however and push for the pbr materials and maybe even a few of the matinae sequences i had aimed to do but for the hand in this is all ive managed to create.

 

As for the design i cant think of much i want to improve, if given an infinite amount of time i could probably play around with it and find new compositions and ways to arrange the many props but for hte time i was given i feel i really pushed the 2D side and the design side. In the three weeks ive had along side my 2D ability,i feel i couldnt have pushed the design much more.
